Rocket: All good things have to come to an end

Why are we upgrading Rocket?

Unfortunately, this has been imposed on us. Rocket is built on a technology called PHP, which has changed and led to the technology, Rocket, being dated and needing an upgrade.

Rocket no longer has the commercial advantage it once had, and we are now using more advanced CMS' in the market for other clients, including WordPress, Umbraco, Shopify and Magento, that we have had to decide to let Rocket meet its EOL.

What does end-of-life (EOL) mean?

EOL means that the development team will stop providing security updates or fixing bugs with your version of Rocket.

Every website has a shelf life and needs to be updated, similar to your mobile phone, and this situation is not unique to Rocket.

Will my Rocket website still work after EOL?

Your website will still work, but technology/security errors will no longer be fixed. Meaning you're increasing the chance of attacks from hackers and viruses.

I'm happy with my website. Can I keep the same look with a different website?

Yes, you can. We can move the website to a new CMS, ensuring it looks and feels like it used to.

How much will it cost to upgrade my website?

This is something we can only tell you without a proper review of your website.

We will review the functionality of your website, the size of it and how it looks to give a comprehensive quote.
