What we did and how it works

To address these needs, we developed a comprehensive solution integrated into their Umbraco content management system (CMS) to help them streamline the customisation process. The key features of the solution included:

  1. 3D Model Integration: Users can upload detailed 3D models of selected kitchen designs. This feature allows for extensive customisation, including modifications to worktops, doors, handles, appliances, sinks, taps, colours, and materials.
  2. Interactive Virtual Space: Customers can explore different design options by interacting with 3D models. This immersive experience provides a realistic preview of their choices, enhancing decision-making.
  3. Support for Property Developers: The system enables developers to manage kitchen options for large housing projects. Each plot within a project represents a house with specific kitchen options.
  4. Kitchen Selector Tool: Once a house is sold, the buyer receives an invitation to use the kitchen selector tool. This tool allows them to customise their kitchen based on available options, with real-time price adjustments. This feature simplifies the process for both developers and individual buyers, facilitating easy navigation, saving, and submission of designs.
