We're giving £10,000 to a charity that deserves a better website.

Every year, Kayo Digital awards £10,000 in matched funding to a registered charity that deserves a better digital presence. Nominations are open all year round.

A great website changes things. It's the difference between a charity that looks the part and one that gets overlooked. It's the difference between a supporter who donates and one who clicks away.

For many charities (particularly smaller ones without in-house digital teams or the budgets that larger organisations take for granted) a properly built, accessible, well-structured website isn't a nice-to-have. It's a genuine barrier to impact.

That's why we run this programme. And that's why we're asking you to nominate.

What's on offer

Each year, Kayo Digital awards £10,000 in matched funding towards a new website for one registered charity. We work with the winning organisation as a proper partner (not just a supplier) to build something that reflects their mission, works for their audience, and gives their team the tools to maintain it.

Nominations are open all year. Our Matched Funding Competition closes at the end of December, with the winner announced in January.

Who should you nominate?

If you work for a charity, volunteer for one, support one, or simply know one that's punching above its weight with a website that doesn't do it justice; this is for them.

We're looking for registered charities that:

  • Are doing genuinely important work in their community or sector
  • Are held back by a website that no longer serves them
  • Would benefit from a trusted digital partner, not just a one-off build

There's no complex application process. Just tell us about the charity and why you think they deserve it.

Past winners

We don't just make empty promises, here's what the programme has already made possible:

Kent Community Foundation
One of the South East's most respected grant-making charities, KCF received matched funding support to improve how they communicate their work and connect with applicants and donors online.

CXK
CXK supports young people and adults into education, employment and independence. Their new digital presence better reflects the breadth of what they do and makes it easier for the people they serve to find the right support.

Our commitment goes beyond the competition

The matched funding programme is our flagship initiative, but it's not the only way we support the charity sector.

We offer pro bono digital support to charitable organisations throughout the year, because we believe good digital shouldn't only be available to those with the biggest budgets.

Recent pro bono work includes hosting support for National Energy Action, the national fuel poverty charity, helping keep their digital infrastructure running reliably without adding pressure to a stretched team.

If your organisation needs digital support and isn't sure where to start, get in touch. The conversation is always free.

Why a website matters more than you think

For a charity, your website is often the first, and sometimes only, interaction a potential supporter, volunteer, commissioner or beneficiary has with you. When it works well, it builds trust immediately. When it doesn't, that opportunity is gone.

A new website isn't a vanity project. It's an operational tool, It's your 24/7 fundraising page, your recruitment platform, your case for support.

Done well, it frees up your team, strengthens your credibility, and helps you reach the people you exist to serve.
