Parson's Nose is a family run business in the heart of Fulham, Putney and South Kensington.
The company is a premium butcher and has retained the core values that have made their butchers the one to visit: a passion for food, innovation and service they can be proud of.
Historically Parson’s Nose saw the opportunities of digital and wanted to do more than create an eCommerce website, they also wanted to run a journal, post recipes and talk about their journey. This lead them (pre-Kayo!) to create two separate websites; one for information, and one for eCommerce and, in turn, two Content Management Systems (CMS) to learn and master.
When Parson’s Nose approached Kayo we researched and recommended a headless eCommerce approach where we can use all of the functionality of an eCommerce platform (in this case, Shopify) but expand it using a bespoke CMS to incorporate the marketing and promotion side of the business as well.
Not only could we solve our client’s long-running dilemma but we also discovered further opportunities during our research phase; an intuitive system for customers to select “click and collect” or “local delivery”, this option simply wasn’t available “out-of-the-box”.
Two websites became one! Using “headless eCommerce” to integrate Shopify and our Rocket platform to create a website that has complete structural and visual adaptability whilst leveraging Shopify’s excellent eCommerce capabilities.
We worked closely with the Shopify App Developers, using their API to give our client’s visitors a fully branded cart experience whilst offering the features of third-party extensions, thereby cutting development costs at the same time.
The website truly became an indispensable member of staff, advising on booking times for delivery or collection, this is how we can use technology intelligently to allow a business to concentrate on their core activities.
